斯科特逻辑 Joins Digital Diversity Initiative as New Report Highlights Scale of Gender Pay Gap in Scotland

斯科特逻辑, one of Scotland’s leading software engineering firms, has joined The Scottish Government’s Digital Directorate, ScotlandIS, Scottish Digital Academy and key organisations across Scotland’s technology ecosystem including The Data Lab,  Sopra Steria and Head Resourcing, to become the latest Partner of the “Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation” initiative.

The cross-sector programme, launched earlier in the year, has already supported one group of emerging female digital leaders, is in the process of launching a second cohort, to run throughout the Autumn.

这一举动, by one of the country’s most well established names in the digital transformation space, comes hot on the heels of research from tech recruitment firm Haystack, which identified Scotland as having the largest pay gap for technology professionals in the UK. The report highlights a gap in salary expectations of £18,714 between women and men in the tech profession in Scotland, more than double the gap in pay expectations pf £8,885 reported in London and significantly higher than the £4,655在威尔士.

The “Empowering…” initiative has been designed to create a sustainable community of future female digital leaders and try to tackle some of these long-standing inequalities, which are seen as being particularly prevalent in the technology sector.

All places on the programme are free of charge to participants, who are selected from a national open applications call by a panel of experts including 凯伦Meechan, Interim-CEO at ScotlandIS, The Scottish Government’s Head of Digital Transformation, 快乐Bramfitt-Wanless罗兹-布里顿、人才吸引 & Capability Lead for the Digital Profession at The Scottish Government, alongside representatives from each of the industry partners, including 斯科特逻辑’s Principal Consultant for their Edinburgh office, 猫古里.

Commenting on 斯科特逻辑’s decision to support the “Empowering…” programme, 科瑞斯女士说, “斯科特逻辑 is committed to Scotland and to diversity in the workplace.  We’re delighted to be sponsoring and participating in Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation, a bold and innovative programme, which will boost essential skills and capability throughout the country.

“As a purpose-driven technology consultancy at the forefront of change, we welcome the opportunity to support the development of a cohort of women leaders who will drive the rapidly expanding digital economy.”

The Autumn cohort for the “Empowering…” programme is due to commence later in the coming weeks, with further details on confirmed participants expected imminently.
